Examination Description

A consultation with a radiologist gives you the opportunity to discuss your imaging needs, symptoms, previous scan results, or any concerns you may have before or after an examination. Radiologists are specialist doctors trained in interpreting medical images and advising on the most appropriate imaging tests. A consultation may be helpful if you would like a clearer understanding of which scan may be suitable for you, need an explanation of previous imaging findings, or require guidance on the next appropriate imaging step. During the consultation, the radiologist will review the relevant clinical information and, where available, any previous imaging or reports. They will explain the findings in clear language and answer your questions. Please bring any previous imaging, reports, referral letters, or relevant medical information to your appointment, as this may help the radiologist provide the most accurate advice. Preparation No special preparation is usually required for a consultation with a radiologist. We recommend bringing a list of your symptoms, questions, medications, and any previous scans or reports related to your concern.
